MANAGEMENT CENTER INNSBRUCK
The MCI stands for internationality, academic quality, practical relevance, innovation, close cooperation with the business community, solution-oriented research & development, first-class infrastructure, a high degree of customer and service orientation and international reputation. It also stands for empowering motivated people to achieve outstanding performance, offering scientifically sound solution competence and shaping innovative know-how transfer in a strong international network.
In the Non-profit Management major, the focus is on the challenge of performing the previously mentioned tasks in the interests of society that are not performed by either government or private sector institutions. Fundraising, public relations and lobbying, resource management, human resources and volunteer management are current topics that are dealt with in close cooperation with organisations in practice.
THE CITY
Innsbruck is the capital of Tyrol and with a population of around 132.000 is one of the five largest cities in Austria. The city is surrounded by mountains and is therefore a popular winter and mountain sports destination. The cityscape is characterised by buildings from the imperial era and modern architecture, as well as the River Inn. One of the most famous landmarks is the "Goldenes Dachl", which can be found in the heart of the old town
